Leeds is a fun city that’s full of exciting cultural and heritage sites, which are great fun to look around. over 100,000 people come to work in the city centre every day and 1000s more visit the city to shop, dine out or merely to enjoy the range of attractions Leeds has on offer.

Leeds also boasts the amazing Kirkstall Abbey, which is placed in the western outskirts of the city. This fabulous Abbey is widely regarded as one of the most complete examples of a medieval Cistercian abbey in the uk. It boasts historical architecture, as well as fabulous gardens that are teeming with wildlife & greenery.
Kirkstall Abbey was started in 1152 and took over seventy five years to build. The historical ruins have been painted by artists such as jmw turner & the abbey is now a Grade 1 listed building. In the summer, visitors flock to see open-air concerts & plays in the stunning grounds of the Abbey.
If you would like to shop ’til you drop, Leeds is the perfect location to do it. The city has some wonderful outlets to suit any funds including high end outlets love harvey nicks & Louis Vuitton in the Victoria Quarter.
In addition to this, you’ll find high-street outlets in the city’s merrion centre. alternative fashion lovers will also find some genuine bargains in the Corn Exchange, which houses outlets including Grin.
If the fast pace of Leeds’ city life is too much for you, you’ll be happy to understand that the city has some pretty green spaces, including the award winning mandela gardens. These pretty gardens were built for £12 million to celebrate the year 2000. The striking gardens won a prize at the chelsea flower show in 2004.
If you’d prefer to spend your time doing more arty activities, you’ll be happy to understand that Leeds has nine great museums and art galleries. These include the royal armouries museum and the wonderful leeds city art gallery, so you are sure to locate one to enjoy.
